A HUGE Banner for an adorable little guy.
These flags were 5" X 7" each. That's jumbo!

I added the caterpillars here and there but tried not to get too "themey"

Yes, "themey" is a word.

High Chair Banner in vibrant colors.

Happy Birthday to you Holden.  The baby boy with the HUGE smile!

brown bags are not just for lunches

I have this habit of collecting embellishments and sometimes I want to create a super chunky, layered card.  That's all fine and good, but then.... I have the task of what to put it in.  Clear cello wrappers are pretty, but when you have a card that is a bit more vintage a clear bag won't cut it and  a plain envelope  just won't do.

Try altering a lunch sack to suit your needs!

This fall birthday card is actually very simple, but makes a big, bold statement with the flowers I chose to put on front.  These flowers are a mixture, but a portion of them were from the Brenda Walton collection from K & Co.

As you can see it's pretty thick...it measures almost 1" including the button.

Measure your card ~ This card is a standard A2 size measuring just over 4 1/4" X 5 1/2"

I chose the seeing spots embossing plate and placed it in the middle of the sack with the folded closed end at the bottom. The embossing goes through the entire bag, so it's pretty on both sides.
I then scored the bag (leave it folded up) at 4 3/4" and crease it.
The edges were cut using the Big Shot and the scalloped scallop die from MFT.
Run adhesive along the open side edges and that flap on the back, but leave the top open!
Yes, I got carried away and sealed the entire thing!

I just tucked a doily and used a piece of twine to make a simple bow and there she is!
Simple, pretty and inexpensive!  Of course if you plan to mail this I would recommend using a rigid mailer or padded envelope for safe travel.
