Chevron Cutie

Happy Thursday!
Popping in on you to share a card that I created for a post over at the Pinque Peacock Blog.
I had a lot of fun with the layers, embossing and the variety of products on this cutie.
The "centerpiece" is that fun, super chunky CHEVRON button from Pinque Peacock
It's big, it's bright and it's FUN.
Those designer paper "scraps" came in handy for lining the inside of my creation as well as a special touch on the envelope.  I hope that all these little touches make someone's day!

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope your day is just dandy!

Did I say Monday?!  Yes, my weekend FLEW by.
I did get time to sneak in a few cards though & I hope you enjoy this one.
This card measures 4.25" X 5.5" and has a button closure and features a gorgeous stick pin.
I am really pleased with how it all came together.
The inside has the perfect sentiment for a birthday or ANY day.
The stamps are from Sweet Stamps and they are having a fun challenge over on their blog.

I think I lost my M O J O

So today I had big plans.
I had my challenges all written down...
I had in my mind exactly what I was going to accomplish in my studio....
Then something DIDN'T happen....a card that I love...boooo!
I am confessing..right here that this card is NOT my favorite.
The stamp set is adorable... it's by Unity and it's called Celebrate
The crinkle ribbon is Yummy...it's by 3GirlJAM and it's called Coral Crush
The paper...love that too.. It's Pink Paislee
Sometimes there is just something about a project you just don't like... this is one of those days.
I am sharing anyway, because I know that you all have those days too.
I'm linking up this bad boy anyway...just 'cause!

You are my Sunshine on this rainy Friday

Seriously people .... it's been raining a LOT here in Eastern, NC lately.
So I'm creating my own sunshine today.
Love this sentiment and song...
It makes an adorable birthday card don'tcha think?
I decided on softer colors and some sweet embellishments for this
summer-time card.
The shape card is out of my "norm" but I kinda like it.
See how those challenges can keep you busy trying new things?!
Thanks for making a stop at my blog today.
I hope your day is sunny...

Happy Thursday!

Hey, hey...it's Thursday.
I wanted to hop on here before getting in gear around the house.  We've had family here with us for several weeks and I've got a list a mile long of "to-do's" today.
First,  I MUST share this beauty with you.
This card was created on a recent girls day out with my mom and some of my sweetest crafty friends.
We hooked up for a day of laughs and snacks and creating.
This card was NOT my favorite when I left that day. However... as she waited patiently for me to return to my craft space almost a month later I found that I really LOVE her.
I love that she was created in the company of good friends.
I love that this card is created with some amazing washi paper straight from Okinawa, Japan thanks to my friend Dawn who is stationed there with her family.
I love that the post card is an old post card that I picked up when visiting Maryland with my hubby.
I love that the sentiment is so true and perfect.
I hope that you have people in your life that help your being and that your today is a wonderful one!
Thanks for stopping by and for letting me share with you today.
Make your day a beautiful one!
